Sara Cerrell

Board Vice Chair

Ms. Sara Cerrell is the founder of Global Change Network. She brings two decades of political, private sector, and nonprofit experience to her clients. Her work has centered on social impact, particularly international development with an emphasis on global health and women’s empowerment. She has created strategies, developed partnerships, and managed campaigns for organizations and companies such as the International Center for Research on Women, MTV Staying Alive Foundation, PATH, Viacom, Gap Inc., Jimmy Choo Foundation, Marie Stopes International, Maverick Collective/PSI, and the Packard Foundation.

Before founding Global Change Network in 2008, Sara was Vice President at DDB Issues & Advocacy, a social sector practice that was part of DDB Worldwide, a global marketing agency. There, she served as strategy director, overseeing award-winning initiatives for international clients.

Sara’s career began in The White House as an aide to First Lady Hillary Clinton when Mrs. Clinton first began putting gender equality on the international agenda. Additionally, Sara worked on the 1992 and 1996 U.S. presidential campaigns.

In addition to being a board member of Global Impact UK, Sara is board chair of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, appointed to the Commission by former U.S. Ambassador Barzun. She also serves on the board of 1000 Days, a nutrition NGO incubated at the U.S. State Department, and is a founding member of ICRW Circle of Ambassadors UK. She resides in London.
